Video Comparison on Gay Marriage Arguments

Yet another great video has surfaced on youtube which dismantles bit by bit all the examples bouncing around of how allowing gay marriage is somehow going to take people's freedoms away. These folks just can't handle facts. I particularly liked the supposed example that happened in a state (New Jersey) that doesn't allow gay marriage.

For more proof that the other side prefers fiction to facts, check out this unintentionally hilarious video about how gay marriage is going to silence all the children, and make them "sit in the back of the bus", complete with having their Bible's thrown away.

Just remember this, because when we are all old and gray, this will be just a humorous reminder of how far we still had to come in the early part of the century.

Patriot's day? I had to look that one up. Apparently it is a minor Massachusetts holiday.

The voiceover comes pretty close to an endorsement for bullying. All this video needs is to end with the kids beating up a nerd for Jesus.

Did you notice the posters for the NEA, the National Endowment for the Arts? The right-wing wackos hate them, because they fund artists who might create works that aren't "moral."

Also, is it any wonder that homosexuals have a higher instance of alcohol abuse and suicide (IF what the narrator is saying is even true, which it may not be because must of the rest of this video is lies and hyperbola). I'd be depressed too if I had to put up with snide, self-righteous comments, and the *hate* that these Christians have for their fellow man that they attempt to mask under religious belief.

Yeah Luke, bullying is a time-honored tradition among these types of fundamentalist Christians. Ask the many families that have sufferred at their hands after complaining about school employees crossing the wall of seperation.

AWQM,

The NEA has been the bugaboo of social conservatives ever since the Robert Mapplethorpe photo flap in the 80's.

You aren't the only one who sees it as a little macabre that the very same group who does everything they can to make homosexuals' life a living hell are the people who claim the effects of that treatment indicates there is something wrong with being gay. Talk about a guided experiment! Funny how they never notice it when they're doing it.

Do you think Perez Hilton's latest outburst to Miss California's answer hurt the gay marriage cause?

In a way, it's the taxpayer who does the funding. Besides, you'd probably hate them if, instead of Piss Christ, the NEA funded an artist to build a Piss Darwin sculpture.

Personally, I can think of a lot of ways the government spends my tax money that agitate me more than any hypothetical sculpture might.

Piss Reagan would be amusing, though.
