Apparently the popularity of Guitar Hero has led to a
spike in guitar sales. However, I'm with
Jim fiore on this one. Before we get too excited about the prospect of millions of great new guitar players, let's wait and see how many of these guitars actually get played, and how many are left to collect dust as the new owners find that playing a real instrument is a lot harder than learning a game.
Well, with a prop and, importantly, a friend. Or even, with the newer games, friends, and from anywhere in the world too. They're damned fun to boot.
ReplyDeleteThough I agree that most of those new guitars will be left in the closet.
